OpenAI’s GPT-4: Features and Enhancements of GPT-4

Features and Enhancements of GPT-4

It’s been almost three months since the launch of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, but the buzz around this AI language model continues to grow. Now, OpenAI has brought something even more advanced and impressive to the table – GPT-4. In this blog, we will take a closer look at the new features of ChatGPT 4 and what makes it different from its predecessors.

Before diving into the new features of GPT-4, let’s do a quick recap. GPT, which stands for generative pre-trained transformer, is a language model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text. ChatGPT, initially described as the GPT-3.5 model, was a significant step forward in the world of AI language models. However, GPT-4 takes things to a whole new level.

Features and Enhancements of GPT-4

One of the most significant improvements in GPT-4 is that it can work with both text and images. This new feature allows the language model to generate text descriptions of images and even generate new images from text prompts. Another significant improvement is its long memory, allowing it to hold onto context for longer periods. This longer memory is what sets ChatGPT apart from other AI chatbots like Alexa or Siri.

GPT-4 is also multilingual and more challenging to trick with artificial intelligence. Users often try to trick chatbots into answering hypothetical questions or conversations, but GPT-4 comes with a bit of immunity to that. It brings back rationale in chat and does not get tricked as easily as we have seen with other chatbots.

Assume Personalities

Another exciting feature of GPT-4 is its ability to assume personalities and talk to users in the way they want. For instance, if you want the bot to talk to you like your American friend who’s an army officer, it will assume that character and talk in that lingo.

While these are the new features, some of the old flaws also persist. Like ChatGPT, GPT-4 is also not big on current events. It was trained with data available till 2021, which is now almost two years old, making it relatively outdated.

GPT-4 and Competitive Exams

However, what sets GPT-4 apart is its performance in competitive exams. OpenAI has claimed that the new model has performed at the 90th percentile on a simulated bar exam and scored 93 percentile on a SED reading exam and 89 percentile on an SCT math exam.

GPT-4 is developed using Microsoft’s Azure, and Microsoft has also integrated ChatGPT into its search engine Bing. OpenAI has already partnered with tech companies to integrate GPT-4 into classrooms, with products offered by Khan Academy and Duolingo. Stripe has also partnered with OpenAI to incorporate GPT-4 into its products.

One can access GPT-4 by simply upgrading to ChatGPT Plus on OpenAI’s website, and it will cost around $20 a month. Overall, ChatGPT 4 is a game-changer in the world of AI language models. Its new features and improvements have the potential to change the way we communicate and interact with AI bots. Let us know your thoughts on this new AI chatbot in the comments below.
